What to Wear to Our Sessions
What to wear?
Here at The Log Circle we wholeheartedly follow the forest school motto;
"There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothing!"
Our sessions will take place, whatever the weather, as long as we consider that conditions are 'safe' enough, so you will need to be well prepared! So both you and/or your child will need lots of layers to keep warm AND dry, otherwise it won’t be much fun for either of you!
For sessions in Autumn and Winter we recommend you bring ALL of the following;
Long sleeved t-shirt
Leggings or jogging bottoms
Warm jumper or fleece
Waterproof trousers or dungarees
Waterproof coat
Thick socks and walking boots or wellies (be aware that wellies on their own do not keep feet warm!)
Hat, gloves and neck warmer
❄️In very cold weather you should add an additional base layer of a vest or extra top and tights or leggings.
🌞 For sessions in Spring and Summer, simply swap the hat, gloves and neck warmer for a sunhat and a good layer of suncream. We still advise long sleeves and long trousers to protect from scratches, stings and bites.
